so I am in a 16 team keeper league....we just had our draft the other day. Here is my roster after the draft
C- Matt Wieters--keeper C- Miguel Olivo 1B- James Loney 1B- Yonder Alonso 2B- Jose Lopez SS- Orlando Cabrera 3B- Mark Reynolds--keeper 3B- Mat Gamel LF- Carlos Gonzalez--keeper CF- Cameron Maybin--keeper CF- Rajai Davis RF- Cody Ross OF- Gerardo Parra
SP- David Price--keeper SP- Phil Hughes--keeper SP- Madison Bumgarner--keeper SP- Trevor Cahill--keeper SP- Stephen Strasburg SP- Aaron Crow SP- Erik Bedard SP- John Danks SP- Travis Wood SP- Kenshin Kawakami RP- Francisco Rodriguez RP- Takashi Saito
I kept 8 players, those that are noted. I got Strasburg, Alonso and Danks with my 9th, 10th and 11th round picks. Basically I am rebuilding....I've been offered a trade, and want your opinion...keep in mind this is a keeper league. Initially I declined this deal, but the guy is leaving it on the table
I would get:
C- Tyler Flowers 2B- Howie Kendrick SS- Stephen Drew SP- Jered Weaver SP- Max Scherzer 1 of the following: James Shields, Joba Chamberlain, Logan Morrison
He would get:
C- Matt Wieters OF- Carlos Gonzalez whomever I throw in to even the deal up.....
While I would be adding a bit of talent to my team overall, I am too in love with the talent of Wieters and CarGo. What do you think?

What sort of scoring system do you use? 4x4, 5x5?

I would think if you made this deal Scherezer, Weaver, and Shields could end having better numbers than any current picther you have this year . . .

you can keep up to 12, but lately I've just been keeping 8, and I usually have one of the top picks and the high waiver.....as for scoring, there are different categories:
runs, 1b, 2b, 3b, HR, RBI, SB, BB, BA, OBP, SLG IP, W, L, Svs, BB, K, Hld, ERA, WHIP, K/BB, K/9
I should also add to this that Yahoo has added almost every top prospect, so the waiver priority isn't going to make that much of a difference

I like your two players more than anything he's throwing up there so I'd say no.

That is my thought, that my 2 are more talented than anything he is offering....what if I could get Drew, Scherzer, Weaver, Dom Brown, and Kendrick, would you do that?
