I'm not sure what this means, but the BCMBL draft ended in early January if I remember correctly. The date the BCMBL draft ended was the cutoff date for newly signed players in real life baseball. This is from the 2010 draft guidelines: PLAYER ELIGIBILITY Anybody who was drafted during the June Rule 4 Draft and anyone who has signed a professional contract since the end of last year's BCMBL Draft. You may draft someone who you anticipate signing a contract this winter but has not as of the pick. The deadline for a player to sign their real contract is February 25, 2011 at noon EST. This is the pitchers and catchers report date listed on the MLB.com website. If a player you draft has not signed his professional contract by the above date you forfeit that pick and the player becomes a free agent ineligible to be signed until the next year's draft. Perhaps it was changed in the draft discussion at some point and not reflected in the draft guidelines but looking in the 2010 guidelines for 2010 draft information seemed logical. Paxton in ineligible until next years draft. We did have discussions about this (mostly because in previous years, players had to be signed prior to the draft starting. We just recently adjusted it to the pitchers/catchers report date.
