I recently made a huge deal bringing in SP Dan Haren from the A's hoping to finally get ahead in the division. But TT was all over that swiftly countering with a huge deal bringing in 1B Adrian Gonzalez from the A's.
I like how the A's are taking a youth approach,
Total players moved to Oakland in the past two days:
Brian Matusz-LHP/BAL Zach Wheeler-RHP/SF Christian Colon-SS/KC Michael Dunn-MR/FLA Stephen Drew-SS/ARI Freddie Freeman-1B/ATL Mike McClendon-P/MIL Jarred Cosart-P/PHI Alex Colome-P/TB Immediate impact guys in bold.
Things are heating up in the NL Central, looks like this is going to be a fun year to compete. TT bring it on!

Just make sure you remember who won the NL Central last year!

Tony brought in a much needed bat without compromising his pitching. The real question is if he's going to be serious about competing or if he'll just spin his guys for more prospects and start the cycle over again.

We're in Phase II: The Competitive Ascent.
Love the deal the Jays just made for Nelson Cruz, would like to get an impact corner OF bat still . . . I think my starting five of Buccholz, Beckett, Morrow, Chapman and Ohlendorf is playoff quality, with hopefully Strasburg bouncing back next year. And I think I can cobble together a league average bullpen. Adrian Gonzalez-Carlos Santana-Ryan Raburn is a really good 3-4-5, and I like Gordon Beckham and Michael Brantley as complementary parts. If I could get another big bat, then I think I have a legit shot at the division without sacrificing the youth movement.

'Stros, I think you're another bat or two away as well, though that's a tough top of a rotation.

Sorry Larry, I kind of hate Ryan Howard. Plus I don't think he'll age that well.
