This battlestation is quite operational
1. Michael Cuddyer, RF/1B
2. Placido Polanco, 2B
3. David Ortiz, DH
4. Carlos Guillen, SS/1B
5. Troy Glaus, 3B
6. Chris Duncan, LF
7. Ryan Ludwick, CF
8. Justin Ruggiano, RF/Jed Lowrie, SS
9. Jason Varitek, C
Still tinkering and figuring out platoons and batting order but this is basically it.
DL- Nick Johnson (surprise)
Bench
Jed Lowrie- IF
Chris Iannetta- C
Chris Young- CF
Justin Ruggiano- OF
Ryan Freel- UT
Young's been horrible so far and, with the loss of Johnson, I'm going to go w/ Ludwick's offense in CF. He's actually got a better D ranking there as well. Lowrie got a good sim and qualifies at 3 IF positions. Got 5 OFers who can play. Good backup at catcher. Freel, plays a bunch of positions and can run. Solid bench
SP
Mark Buerhle
Carlos Zambrano
Jeremy Bonderman
Aaron Cook
Franklin Morales
All decent sims but no #1 starter. A rotation full of 2/3 guys. Still excellent depth and good performances. Bonderman got a good sim considering his struggles last year. Cook is one of the most underrated pitchers (and simmers) in baseball. Mixing and matching my #5 between Morales/Romero/Bernero.
RP
Mariano Rivera
Jose Valverde
Justin Speier
David Weathers
Joe Beimel
Jared Burton
Ryan Franklin
DL- Peter Moylan
Losing Moylan is a killer, he had a great sim w/ huge GB%. Missing him means everyone else has to move up a slot. Having Speier as your #4 man is excellent, #3 still good but not outstanding. Overall, can't complain. Everyone here has a powerful sim. Still one of the top BPs in the league.
Good well balanced, deep team. Not a wasted roster spot. Good pitching, deep bullpen. Could use some better D but this team is currently the AL leader in runs so I can't complain too much. Minor leagues have thinned a little with some trades but Morales, Marrero, Kalish, Lowrie and Mesocaro are a pretty good top 5.
