Option 1: League is emailed when a new ZiPs team has been posted. Any free agent players from that team is on waivers for 24 hours from the time the email is sent. All claims are emailed to the Admin account. When a player is awarded, the team moves to the bottom of the waiver order.
Option 2: Free agent thread is created on message board - specifically for ZiPs. If a team wishes to claim a player during the first 24 hours of a newly posted ZiPs, then they post it publicly in that thread. If you post a signing in that thread - You will be using your waiver spot! (unless another team beats your claim with a higher priority). After 24 hours are up, you may sign any remaining free agent not claimed as normal (In your own team's signing thread).
Option 3: Free to sign any free agent you want - as soon as projections are released. Whoever is refreshing Baseballthinkfactory.org at the right time will get first dibs.
From an administrative perspective, I do not want teams signing guys left and right, only to release them as soon as a better projection comes out. I want some strategy to be present - hence the waiver rules during the first 24 hours for both options 1 & 2.

I orginally thought option 2 was your option. I went back and reread it and realized that you were suggesting that everyone sign a guy on the board, and if no one else puts in a claim then no waiver claim will be used?

i think that we should have had 1 big waiver period after all the zips had come out. Free to sign guys until their projections come out. But i voted for one of the choices i was giving.

voted, don't think it's a big deal either way. Need more general trade talk and talk in general more than this. I'm mostly liking the league parity as is.

Oakland is out of town (with no internet) for his father's funeral. He will be voting when he gets back, though it looks like we almost have a winner already.
