When I joined this league prior to the '06 season I inherited a very good but very old team that had absolutely nothing in the minors. Back then I was able to find good, high ceiling minor leaguers all over the place which I used to replenish my minors and, often, trade away to improve my major league club.
Something I've been noticing a lot this year is that I can't do that anymore. I just spent the last couple hours scouring BA for some guys that I could pick up and every time I found someone I liked, someone else had already jumped on him.
The quality of the league as a whole has greatly improved the last couple years. We have some very good owners in franchises that were previously neglected and its beginning to show in the standings.
So I guess I just wanted to say kudos to the league and keep up the hard work.

Well, just think of how many quality owners we've lost because of prior management.
I can think of quite a few great GM's that have been turned off, and quit.

Yes, I agree. I am finding the same thing. I found a couple of guys last week, but that was the exception, and I was really surprised. The last couple years, I was finding guys left and right.
The standings show a lot more parity as well, so that's good.

Yup I agree. Every year I would sign 5 or 6 guys who would turn out to be great finds. Started with Kouzmanoff half way through his breakout year and last year I got Bryan Anderson and Joakim Soria. Seems like there were always some good spects around, but now they are very hard to find. I think we are the best run league around
