Does anyone think that the Giants might be a sleeper team here? Sabathia wants to hit and stay in the NL. I know the Yankees will have the highest offer. Your thoughts?

CC should ask for a $200 million deal if he signs w/ the Giants and just take over the 1b spot when hes not pitching

Giants would have to dump Zito, and at least half his contract first.
When you're batting Bengie Molina clean up, you have bigger problems than your rotation. PS. Lincecum just won the CY Young, and they have a shit load of other young starters.

They just got a new owner though and payroll might rise above 100 M

I never heard anything about Matt Cain for Delmon. Way to give up Garza for him though. Solid move

It was a good trade. Garza was great for Tampa, but Delmon is only going to get better.

Yeah, i think they would sign CC if they could. They wouldnt take a risk that Manny doesnt sign. Then if they got CC, they would pull the offer. If CC signs somewhere else, i have a feeling they will up their offer to Manny.

I still think Garza for Delmon was a retarded trade for the Twins. They already had Cuddyer, Gomez, and Kubel and they have holes at the front of their rotation. Delmon can't walk, isn't showing power, and was rated the worst OF in the league this year. I know he's young but the trade didn't make sense to start with
